1. How much will monthly parking cost?

Parking rates are individually negotiated with each garage and may be different with each option.  They will be based on a monthly rate, with 24/7 parking access.

2. Do I have to commit to monthly parking?

In order to receive the discounted rate, you will need to commit to an annual contract for monthly parking with the garage.

3. Which garages do I choose from and how much will they cost?

4. How do I register for parking?

Click the button below to view all available monthly parking options and you will be directed to an SI-staff form that will give you step by step instructions.

5. How do I cancel my parking?

All featured monthly parking locations require Smithsonian employees to sign a 12-month contract through the parking location directly. Once you have submitted the form, a ParkWhiz rep will email you the application to fill out for the garage you are interested in parking at. If you wish to cancel your annual agreement for monthly parking, you will need to cancel directly through the parking location 30 days prior to your 12-month contract end date; otherwise, your contract will automatically renew. For example, if you start parking on 2/1/2020, you will need to cancel your monthly parking directly with the parking location by 1/1/2021. The contact information for each parking location can be found on the application.  If you have any questions about an individual parking location’s annual contract cancellation policies, please email help@parkwhiz.com.

6. Is there a daily discount option for daily parking?

a.       SI staff (those who have @si.edu email address) – A 10% discount for unlimited daily parking reservations at any location through ParkWhiz nationwide.  Purchases must be made with their @si.edu email address.

b.       SI volunteers, docents, etc (those who don’t have an @si.edu email address) – A 10x use/ customer coupon which is good for 10% off daily parking.  

The ParkWhiz app automates the parking process - using your phone to check in and out of garages, book in advance, compare prices and find you the cheapest parking - whether traveling for work, on vacation or out for the night.

SI employees must use your @si.edu email and the discount will automatically apply.  If you have an existing ParkWhiz account under a personal email, you can add to your Smithsonian profile using your parkwhiz.com account and you will be able to access the perk as well. 

SI volunteers
